Samuel is 18 years old and is currently studying towards a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) at Auckland University of Technology.
He was inspired to play the cello from a fairly young age because of his mother, who is also a cellist. He started when he was 8 years old and has been performing in school orchestras and chamber groups since.
