Sam is currently a first year trombone student at the University of Auckland.
As a multi-instrumentalist he is well versed in a number of genres and styles despite majoring in classical performance – his main being reggae and jazz where he gets a chance to improvise.
Sam started learning the trombone when he was nine and he has jumped at the chance to play with any music group ever since.
