Richard Paull

This is Richard’s 3rd year in AYO. Hailing from the heartland of the central north island, Richard is in Auckland for his 4th and final year studying a Bachelor of Music in Instrumental Composition. He loves to compose and arrange pieces of music for various sized  ensembles, and recently competed in the finals of the University Lilburn Composition Prize.

Richard has played the violin for 12 years now, gaining Grade 8 with Distinction in Year 12 and performing with many ensembles such as the Taupo Youth Orchestra, NZSSSO and Uni Symphony Orchestra to name a few. He also plays trumpet frequently, enjoying both concert and jazz genres in bands across Auckland and Taupo, and also dabbles a bit with tuba and bagpipes for fun!

Finally, if anyone needs any tips in cooking Indian food and curry, then you know where to find him!
