Nicholas holds a Bachelor of Music (Classical Performance) and Bachelor of Arts (Latin American Studies and Sociology) and is beginning a Masters Degree in Urban Planning this year.
He lived in Venezuela for a year after leaving school and was part of the renowned El Sistema music program.
The establishment of the New Zealand Youth Brass Ensemble in 2015 has been his greatest achievement musically as it brings youth players together annually to perform high quality brass music with education from professionals.
He has performed with the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra, Dalewool Senior Brass Band, Auckland Symphony Orchestra, among others, and conducts both the Kelston Music Centre String Orchestra and Dalewool Youth Brass Band – A Band.
