Mariko has recently completed her undergraduate study of a Bachelor of Music with Edith Salzmann at the University of Auckland School of Music.
She is a past recipient of both the APO Secondary School and NZSO Michael Monaghan scholarships.
An enthusiastic ensemble player, Mariko is frequently involved in a variety of orchestras and chamber ensembles including AYO and The Auckland Cellists cello ensemble.
Currently she is completing an Honours year at the University of Auckland while also taking on a number of teaching positions.
