Jamie is currently studying for a Bachelor of Music, majoring in classical viola performance, at the University of Auckland under Mark Bennett.
As well as being Principal Viola of the AYO, Jamie is a member of the NZSO National Youth Orchestra, and participates regularly in the Adam Chamber Music Summer School.
Jamie holds an ATCL Recital Diploma in Viola (with Distinction), and an LTCL Recital Diploma in Piano. In 2016 he was joint recipient of AYO’s Chip and Muriel Stevens Award. He aspires to one day being employed in a full-time professional orchestra and to be a viola teacher.
Jamie’s interests outside of music include sailing and all things to do with the kitchen!
