Isabel Lu

Isabel Lu is a first year student at University of Auckland studying Architecture. She started music at the age of 7, learning piano with teacher Guy Donaldson. She then began learning violin with Marise McNeill at 9 years old, and currently learns from Yury Gezentsvey.

Isabel has completed her ATCL diploma for violin and recently received distinction for her LTCL piano. She enjoys playing in orchestras and chamber music, and has participated in both the NZSSSO and NYO programmes.

Outside of music, Isabel loves art and drawing in her spare time, making instant noodles, and going on skiing trips. She is excited to join AYO for the first time in 2023!
