Henry is 19 years old and is currently studying Finance at the University of Auckland as an international student.
He started playing violin after falling in love with its beautiful sound and elegant shape when he went to a concert with his parents at the age of four. Henry has participated in three orchestras in the past twelve years. The one which impacted him most was the Guangzhou Youth Orchestra (GYO) as he was given many great opportunities and deeply realised the beauty of orchestral playing.
GYO accepted an invitation from Young Euro Classic (the same festival AYO went to in 2011) and he went with GYO to Germany to perform in August 2015, two months before coming to New Zealand and joining AYO.
Other than music, Henry is also a car enthusiast but he can’t imagine ever playing Mozart in a Lamborghini.
