George has been playing the oboe for 4 years. He began his learning with Felicity Than and has been learning from Martin Lee (Principal Cor Anglais of the APO) since April 2020.
George played in Aotea Youth Symphony in 2020 and has played with the North Shore Youth Symphonic Wind Band since 2017. He was awarded First Prize in the Open Category of the NZ Double Reed Society’s 2019 competition.
George is very excited to be part of the AYO community. He will be studying for a conjoint degree in Commerce and Music this year at the University of Auckland.
