Bethany has been playing violin since she was 7. Now in year 12 at St Mary’s College in Ponsonby, this is Bethany’s second year with AYO. Having achieved distinction at ABRSM grade 8, Bethany is now working towards ATCL which she plans to complete this year. In addition to performing with the AYO, Bethany also plays with Senior Orchestra and Senior Chamber Orchestra at school and sings with the school’s chamber choir. More recently, Bethany has completed the second stage of Suzuki teacher training and is now sharing her knowledge and skills with young students.
Outside of her musical endeavours, Bethany is a keen climber, an avid reader and, when she has time, enjoys horse riding. More recently Bethany has taken up computing studies and is learning how to code.
