Esther Park was born in Korea and moved to New Zealand when she was ten years old.
When she was young she picked up the flute, violin, cello, and piano, but she liked the flute the best. She is currently a student at the University of Auckland, majoring in Flute, Classical Music and learning from Professor Luca Manghi.
In 2021 she attended the Emsburener Musiktage, Germany and had the chance to be part of Mainz University.
Esther returned to New Zealand in June 2022, and plans to go back and study music further after she finishes her degree at the University of Auckland. Esther also plays piano, enjoys teaching music and accompanying.
Esther is excited to join AYO this year and is looking forward to working with all the talented musicians in the orchestra.
