Lucas is in Year 10 at Rangitoto College. He started playing violin at the age of 6 with the Suzuki Method and is currently studying with Milly Rout.
In his years of playing the violin, he has been a member of the KBB Honours Music Programme in 2024 and was the soloist for the Rangitoto College Con Grazia that placed top 4 out of the chamber orchestras in the festival. He was also the winner of the Year 9 Performance Music Cup at Rangitoto College in 2024.
His younger brother and sister also play the violin, and it’s something they all share and enjoy together. Lucas is quite excited to be joining AYO and looks forward to playing with many other aspiring musicians.
Outside of music Lucas also enjoys playing basketball, which is something that he holds closely to his identity as a person. He religiously follows the NBA and basketball is something that keeps him engaged and motivated to keep improving himself.
